NFR: A Giveaway

Because I love each and every one of you. There are many reasons - you put up with my rambling, my incoherency, my love of spreadsheets and scaling and mini things, my random hyperactivity when writing posts after a couple cups of coffee, my kitchen disasters...

So here's what I'm proposing. Because, well, I can't just give each and every one of you a hug (because if I could, I totally would), I feel an overwhelming urge to show my love for you by randomly picking 2 people and sending them, well, fun and exciting baking things. (Although, for serious, if you're ever in Oshkosh, WI, I'd totally take you out to dinner and give you a hug. Because that would be super cool.)

So in honor of my love of mini things, one of those gifts will be a mini baking pan of some sort (mini loaf, mini cupcake, mini bundt, etc). And because I really really love you guys, The other person will get a book that I love and know you will too - Molly Wizenberg's A Homemade Life. It is seriously awesome.

Just leave a comment here with the type of mini pan you most lust after. It can be a mini cheesecake pan, mini loaf pan, mini bundt, whatever - Just do it by 11:30p CST on Sunday, so we don't drag a good thing out too long. This is applicable within the continental US only (sorry!) and I'll be back soon with my good friend random.org to let you guys know who the two lucky people are.

Bake on!

Ciao Caitlin ! I send you a super super hug and you know I live too far away but please if you ever visit Rome (and it's something you'll have to do !) let's dine and hug !!

A mini mustache-shaped cupcake pan!!

All right, so this doesn't exist. But it absolutely should. Bringing cupcakes to work makes people love you, but bringing small, humorously shaped cupcakes that people can take pictures with...people would probably build a temple in your honor.

Ahh.. well a mini bundt cake pan. there has been a recipe in the doemstic goddess that I have wanted to do for ages.. (I don't even have the full size bundt pan..!)

Wow! Fabulous! DOn't we all love gifts and don't we all love mini things? I have actually just ordered my copy of Molly's book and am anxiously awaiting for it to come in the mail.

But as far as mini pans go, oh, gee whiz. That mini Bundt pan sounds wonderful.

Great site you have here. I have you listed in blogs I read and every time you post I make sure I read it.

In July I will be doing my first give away...I will be giving away gift card holders, it will be a Christmas in July giveaway.

I am also in need of a mini-cheesecake pan. Hubby doesn't think I need any more pans. Ha! What does he know.

You're so sweet! Very nice giveaway. I have had Molly's book on request from my library for months....still waiting :)

As for mini pans....I'll have to go with what seems to be the most popular choice - the mini bundt!

Rachel said...

Everything is cuter when it's mini, but I think I would have to say a mini tart pan

I would absolutely love anything mini. Wish I were mini sometimes. haha! I would also love the cookbook. It sounds great.

love your blog!

Every time I got into a home store, I linger by the mini bundt pans for at least 20 minutes. I love them but I can't justify buying one because I know I wouldn't use it often.

No presents for this Canadian.. but I still get a hug, right?

Ahh, so sweet - sending hugs back. I NEED mini loaf pans, I really really do =)

Nice giveaway! I would love a mini-cheesecake pan. But I would love Molly's book even more! :)

Definitely a mini bundt pan. The cuteness is just too much!

I understand the mini thing. I think it comes in part from the obsession with detail you're forced to have as a ChemE. That's my excuse anyway. I bought some mini-springform pans and I use them all the time. A mini-loaf pan might be fun.

For some reason, I've accumulated many mini-pans, but never a mini-cheesecake pan, despite how very useful it would be to me. I love making tiny little things.

The book sounds really interesting, as well! tempting, tempting. already spent my book budget this week, though.

Do tartalette pans count? That's what I'd love to have.

I have always wanted a mini muffin tin. I think those 1 or 2 bite muffin/cupcakes look so cute and tasty.

Lori said...

I actually stopped by because I saw a comment you made on Canelle et Vanille about passionfruit. I found passion fruit here in the Goya freezer section. I have used it several times. Its very tastey.

And since I am here I would love to win a mini tart pan! Love minis. Great giveaway!

Ooh I'd love a mini cheesecake pan.

Here's a virtual hug back at you!

I would love a mini-loaf pan. I always look at them, but can never bring myself to buy them. I don't know why.

(I have the book...just finished reading it, so if you draw my name just go on to the next person...)

Beth said...

I would looooove a mini tube pan. Do they even make those? I mean how adorable would it be to make itty bitty individual angel food cakes for everyone?

MyKitchenInHalfCups said...

I know you'll think I'm nutty but I've always wanted to visit Oshkosh. You would be icing on the cake.

kimberly salem said...

i am lusting after the book more than the pan, actually! :) but i definitely want one of those mini cheesecake pans!:)

Jennywenny said...

Mini bundt pan sounds adorable! Thanks for being so generous! I'd also love the book too....

Megan said...

Oh yeah, I'm in. I seriously had my hands on a 4" springform pan in Sur La Table last week, but I put it back (foolish me!). Loving the little pans these day.

Amy said...

I would enjoy mini bundts...because they are in fun shapes and cute.

BUT slightly unrelated to baking...everytime I see those super cute mini casserole pans I drool a little. They are too cute, especially the different shapes (bell peppers, vegetables, etc) they make them in. I was going to buy some when my husband burst my bubble by informing me that a casserole in one of them would not make a big enough serving for a guy...dreams of serving us dinner in mini casserole crocks crashed then and there.

thenoviceberker said...

A miniature round cake pan would be adorableee. To make towering layered mini cakes, of course! I'd die of cuteness overload.

Awww! We heart you, too! I would love the book, because you like it, and because maybe you'd write a nice little dedication. Plus I checked it out on Amazon and it looks totally awesome.

Mini Cheesecake for sure. But I really lust after Molly's book.

TeaLady said...

I would love to have mini cheese cake pans. They are so easy to fill and I can make a variety of cakes at once. My lust....

Thanks CAitlin for the chance. Hugs to you too.

Di said...

I already have my own copy of A Homemade Life. I agree--I really enjoyed reading it. But I definitely wouldn't mind a chance at a mini something! =) I think I'd be most interested in mini loaf pans. I've see some of what has come out of yours.

I love absolutely any mini pan, but I especially love the ones I found at an antique store! You are famous for your minis. What's your favorite?

Elyse said...

What a wonderful give away!! So generous of you. Man, both of your goodies sound totally awesome. I mean, who doesn't love a mini-pan of sorts, and everyone in the bloging community is raving about Molly's book!

Hey Caitlin! I stumbled upon your blog because I'm a chemistry grad student who if given the kitchen space and time would have a food blog (or so I'd like to think). But anyway, I found your blog after googling "chemistry food blog." Happy blogging!

I love mini cheesecake pans!!! Thanks for the giveaway!

The Food Librarian said...

Caitlin, I'm sending you a big, big hug! How super generous of you.

Okay, mini? Um, I'm going to rename my blog 'The Food Librarian Who Is Obsessed With the Mini' but it is a tad too long. I love all minis - tart shells, cake pans (my smallest is 2"!!), bundts, loaf pans, cupcakes...things that are small don't count because you can't find the calories! ;)

Liz said...

Sweet giveaway! I'm super tempted by mini springform (cheesecake) pans. I only have big ones and there's only 2 of us here, so I never want to make a whole cheesecake. A mini cheesecake, on the other hand... *drool*

Claudia said...

I have already cooked my way through a good portion of Molly's book -so don't want to be obnoxious - but a mini-bundt pan.... have looked at them for months .... and a hug is Oshkosh (was there last May) is always welcome.

Y said...

Well unfortunately I fall out of the zone, but I've always thought it'd be cool to visit a place called Oshkosh!

Rats, I'm too late! I would have said mini bundt pan. I just went kitchen shopping with a friend who was in a mini-pan buying frenzy. All so cute!

I would love to have a mini tart pan. I can not flute my crusts very well. It would be neat to have many of them for entertaining!
You are so talented at making petite perfections!

Your ramblings are fun to read and hardly require rewarding. It is very generous of you to offer such great gifts. My unfulfilled mini fixation is a mini madeleine pan.

I think I'm just in time right? So excited about the possibilities of a Mini-life woohoo so here goes. How about a mini-bundt. Is that too weird. I love them. Then yes to the Molly Book too
