your tounge is pierced--trust me, i would've commented on that, too if i'd been lucky enough to go to sf! hehe. (but how is it that lunch was awful at a food bloggers' conference?) awesome tart--i'd like to stick my finger in that caramel layer!

I must say, you got the perfect slice for your pictures! What clean, crisp lines. A work of art!

Ha! Great post. It was so fun meeting you. The conference was great huh? Minus the lunch:) I hope we can cross paths again!

Very fun to read all of this from the conference. Sounds like you all had a great time. Your tart is very lovely. How did you get all those layers so precise? My ganache was soft at room temperature and oozed onto the caramel layer, but yours stayed so nice and perfectly clear! Wow.

Sounds like you had a fantastic time, except for lunch, at the conference. Lucky you!!

Tart is lovely. Nice and clean and perfect.

Well, at least you didn't have to say "Nancy. The Dogs Eat the Crumbs" How awkward is that? Guess it's a good thing I stayed home. That and lunch here is always good;)

Those of us on the home front had a case of food-blogger-envy; so glad you got to go and that you had a great time.

Now I wish I had a piece of your tart to snack on.

Gorgeous tart. I love how all of your layers are the same thickness, it really makes it look especially scrumptious! BlogHer sounds like it was a blast, hoping to make it next year...

I can't believe the tweets about the frozen lunch...God it's a food blogger conference for goodness sakes. I would have wanted this yummy tart too. But it still looks like you had a great time with fellow bloggers.

I've been reading all sorts of comments from other SF attendees - we need to see more pictures of the food! Go Bertoli!

And I knew your tarts would be kick ass.

I am so bummed I didn't meet you at BlogHer. I was there, you were there. Never saw you. Course, all I have to go by is your profile picture. Bumma, maybe next time!
Great post! Delicious looking tart. I didn't get back from SF until Monday night, so I haven't made the tart yet. I'm having a giveaway on my blog though!

Manggy said...

Eh?! I've only known you a few months but you are readily recognizable to me- Caitlin P., the engineer baker! (then again, I'm more attentive than most and it pays to be on twitter, huh)
You guys crack me up with the whole lunch deal. Those folks at Bertolli must be so embarrassed!

Kimberly Johnson said...

Your tart looks so beautiful and your layers are so distinct! I love it!

Stunning tart! I loved this recipe and after seeing your pictures, I want more. BlogHer sounds like a blast. 13 hours to S.F.? Ouch.

El said...

That looks seriously delicious.

Eliana said...

Perfection - this is the only way I can describe this tart.

Ashley said...

I adored your recap. It was a pleasure meeting you and I am so thrilled to say that I was present for 1 of the 2 times you convinced Jen to drunk Twitter.

Jaime said...

wow how did your slice turn out so perfect? not all mushy like mine......

Julia @Mélanger said...

That lunch sounds nasty. How can they do something like that? Maybe it was a joke? But agree this would have been worth smuggling in as a clearly superior substitute. So jealous there are all these lovely conferences in the US.

La Pastry Chef said...

That is the cleanest, most perfect slice of anything I have ever seen. Anything with caramel is a winner in my book.

Tracey said...

Could your layers possibly be any more perfect??? Gorgeous tart!
