TWD: Cocoa-Nana Bread

Suffice it to say the last few days have been hellish. So instead of anything too exciting, you get pictures. Mostly pictures. Of cocoa-nana bread, which I didn't try. And a distinct lack of pictures of this month's Daring Baker challenge (nanaimo bars). Not because I didn't make them. I did! I halved the custard layer, replaced coconut with oats, and put peanut butter in the custard layer and peanuts in the base layer. They were fabulous. But they stuck to the bottom of the pan. I cursed at them, swore at them, but they wouldn't budge.

So pictures. Pictures, and this post, which seems to have come at the perfect time for me. Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon, but until then - pictures.

Last Week: Chocolate Oatmeal Almost-Candy Bars
Next Week: Milk Chocolate Mini Bundt Cakes

If you're going to have a post of pictures, at least they're really nice pictures!

Caitlin, I know exactly how you feel. Right now, it's like my life is speeding up around me. And I can't run that fast .... EEEK! So busy. Don't have time to do the things I wanted to.

That would have been so frustrating re: the Nanaimo bars. It asked for an ungreased pan, which made me suspicious but I put a little lick of butter around it, just in case. Maybe that's what happened? Anyway, I can just picture them with your own spin of oats and peanut butter. And let's not forget this fabulous banana chocolate loaf. How great would that be with my banana pudding ice cream? ;)

Sorry to hear about your frustrations, Caitlin-- were you eventually able to try the bread? I wonder why the guys didn't like it, as it looks so good :(

Maybe a block of chocolate, the sort that, just for one day, doesn't require you to break out any dishes, or get flour all over your freshly-cleaned floor, will make you feel better. Cheerrup!!:)

Much as my bars turned out well, I'd rather have this chocolate bread nayday. Seriously. I love chocolate and bread too.
